GENERAL INFORMATION

Where are you located? We are on Orchard Mesa at 2660 Unaweep Ave. Please click on Find Us . 

What are your hours of operation?  We are open to the public Tues-Sat 10am-4pm.

What are your admission fees?  $3.00 per person with a $10.00 maximum per family (two adults and their related children under 18)

What ages are appropriate for visiting your Center?  We like to advertise that we are 'for kids of all ages' from 3-93.

How much time do we need to visit?  The average visit to the Center is 2 hours. Many stay longer! Admission is good for the entire day so if you decide to go out and eat lunch, you're welcome to return at no additional fee!

What can we do there? We are a hands-on math and science exploratorium with over 150 exhibits. Students can tweek, push, pull, drive, spin and more, all in an effort to better understand the world in which we live.

FIELD TRIPS

How do I book a field trip?  You may check the calendar to view available dates but you must call the Center at 254-1626 to speak with a staff member for booking. 

What is the maximum number of students I can bring on a field trip to your Center? Field trips are generally booked in groups of 60 or less.

What is the structure of a field trip? Field trips are booked in two-hour slots and may or may not include a presentation. If a presentation is requested, an additional fee is applied. Large groups are typically split into two groups, and while one half receives the presentation, the other explores the exhibits. The groups then exchange places. Teachers may download exploration sheets from our Teaches Resources  prior to visiting.

What is the Riverview Science Park? The Riverview Science Park is a guided tour leading from the Center to the edge of the Colorado River. Teachers booking field trips may request this as their presentation. Please note that due to the safety aspect and length of time involved in exploring the park, field trips groups are limited to 30 and exhibit exploration time may be reduced. Please call for details.

FACILITY RENTAL

Do you host birthday parties? Yes!  You may book a birthday party for your child on Saturdays only.  Please see our Facility Rental section under Contact Us.
